Pruning trees and shrubs is important to a healthy garden. When you prune trees, make sure to prune at an angle that rain can roll off the surface instead stay onto it. Always remove dead wood promptly. When doing that, make sure to cut well beyond the problem spots and of course clean the prune tools after the cut.

 

It is a little bit trickier to remove branches from trees. A sharp saw can be used to make a cut into the bottom of the limb about 12 inches. And then saw through about 3/4 inches further from the trunk, and make another cut 2 inches from the trunk. Clean the newly cut at last.
