Once you setup fence or boundaries, the next thing to do is to keep it clean. There are a few things to keep in mind:

Don’t apply wood treatment in a very hot day. Try to do it in a warm or cloudy day.

 

Don’t use dirty or moss covered wood because if paint doesn’t stick well, it will require reapplying very soon. You can use a stiff wire brush remove grime and roughens the surface, and make the surfaces stick together.

 

In late autumn, it is the time to repaint the fences when the leaves have fallen.
