Pond needs a lot of attention all year around.

 

In Spring, if you have in your pond, you might start with small quantities of food and do that for several days.

 

In Summer, top off the water when the water drop to a low level. A hose spray can be used. Doing that can also help to raise oxygen levels. Frequent removal of foliage is highly recommended to prevent the decaying foliage from raising nutrient levels.

 

In autumn, if you have fish in pond, you can start reduce the quantity of food to feed the fish. Netting the surface of the pond can prevent leaves from trees falling into the pond.

 

In winter, try to keep the surface free from ice in at least one place. You can achieve by holding a pan with hot water on the ice and hold it until the ice beneath melts.
